Scholarships

The Foundation for the Tri-State Community administers scholarships and awards that (1) provide assistance to local students who choose to attend a two- or four-year college, university or technical school OR (2) reward exceptional students for their diligence and commitment to service. Each scholarship or award is chosen according to established criteria.

Students interested in applying may browse our scholarship listing to determine which awards are suited to their qualifications. Applications may be obtained from the high school guidance counselor’s office or by contacting the Foundation offices.

Scholarship Spotlight

Introducing our newest scholarship, the Candy Haugen Memorial Scholarship.  The scholarship will provide funding for Fairland High School students in the graduating classes of 2018, 2019 and 2020.  Qualifying students must demonstrate the virtues of courage, intellect, faith and love. Alice Lloyd Scholarship

The Amy I. Herrick Fund was established to provide Alice Lloyd College scholarships for their students. Unlike many of our other scholarships, the distributions from this fund go directly to the college to supplement their scholarship program. Alice Lloyd College is a private, four-year, liberal arts institution in Pippa Passes, Kentucky, and, with a combination of scholarships and work study programs, students from Central Appalachia pay no tuition to attend.
