Community Elects New Officers
Ashland, Ky. (02/02/2007) – Curtis B. Anderson, an Ironton-based partner with the law firm of Edwards, Klein, Anderson & Shope, has been elected 2007 chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the Tri-State Community, according to foundation President Mary Witten Wiseman.
In addition, Benjamin R. Cooksey, chief financial officer of Cartee Land Development of Russell, Ky., and Michael J. Emerson, president and CEO of Huntington Steel & Supply Company, have been elected vice chairmen of the foundation. Larry W. Jones of Ashland, executive vice president of Community Trust Bancorp, Inc., has been elected secretary/treasurer.
The Foundation for the Tri-State Community, Inc. is a community foundation serving eastern Kentucky, southern Ohio and southwestern West Virginia. It is the area's only community foundation. The foundation is governed by a 15-member board, comprised of community leaders from the three states.
