Here are examples of how the Foundation's
Grant Program supports the community.
The City of Kenova established the Wonderland Playground Fund to build and upkeep a modern playground. It is located next to the former C-K High School gymnasium. The Foundation's 21st Endowment Fund made a significant grant to assist with the project.

Green Acres residents visit Newport Aquarium

Make a Wish Kentucky "adds" enhancement to
14-year-old's wish

The 21st Century Endowment Fund granted $2,500 to fund a wish from a child in Boyd or Greenup County. J.D., a 14-year old from Catlettsburg who has burkitts lymphoma, wished for a shopping spree at the Ashland Town Center. As an "enhancement" to his wish, JD and his family were invited to attend a Reds game and meet some of the players. He is a huge baseball fan and wants to be a baseball player when he grows up.
Seventeen Green Acres
residential participants enjoyed a day long outing to the Newport Aquarium. "They loved seeing the aquarium," said a staff member. The visit was made possible by a grant from the Ashland Inc. Donor Advised Fund.
