31 Area Groups To Benefit From Ashland Inc. Donor Advised Fund At Foundation for Tri-State Community
For the seventh consecutive year, a variety of charitable and other organizations that contribute to the quality of life in the tri-state area will benefit from the Ashland Inc. Donor Advised Fund of the Foundation for the Tri-State Community, Inc., Mary Witten Wiseman, the foundation’s president, announced.
The fund plans to distribute about $80,000 this year, Wiseman said.
The advised fund makes contributions in Kentucky, West Virginia and Ohio, which specifically benefit the area’s communities, Wiseman said. An advisory group of Ashland Inc. employees recommends how the funds are distributed.
“It is important to note that these monetary contributions are matched and oftentimes overshadowed by the personal commitments of time and talents that many Ashland Inc. employees make in the tri-state,” Wiseman said.
The Ashland Inc. Donor Advised Fund, one of many such funds at the Foundation for the Tri-State Community, is especially well matched with the foundation’s primary mission: to improve quality of life by raising, encouraging, administering, and distributing gifts for charitable, educational and scientific purposes. The foundation has its headquarters in Ashland. It serves eastern Kentucky, southern Ohio, and southwestern West Virginia and is the tri-state's only community foundation.
Ashland Inc. is a FORTUNE 500 chemical and transportation construction company providing products, services and customer solutions throughout the world. To learn more about Ashland, visit .
